UHAS LAB (MAIN CAMPUS BEGINS TESTING FOR COVID-19 TOMORROW 27/04/20

The UHAS lab will from tomorrow 27th April, 2020 begin running tests for COVID-19.

This is in line with the nation’s objective to expand its capacity to test.

UHAS, Ho Teaching Hospital, Hon. Regional Minister and all key stakeholders who facilitated the process deserve special mention.

This new addition will further strengthen the enhanced surveillance and contact tracing which is in full operation.

All District Rapid Response Teams in the Volta and Oti Regions should kindly take note and purposefully utilize the services of the laboratory to improve our ability to detect, isolate and manage all COVID-19 cases.

All samples can be sent to the UHAS lab located at the main Sokode campus. All existing guidelines for sample packaging and transportation should strictly be applied.

On behalf of the Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Timothy Letsa, I commend our dedicated staff for their resilience and dedication.

I wish you all a great weekend.
