Hip hop and afrobeat musician, Kofi Mole lost his enthusiasm during a live performance yesterday night at the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) as he fell offstage.
He started with a beautiful stage craft, sitting in a shopping trolly with a beautiful lady dancer showing her curves while escorting him on stage.
The ‘Aposor Gangster’ who was feeling the vibe from the crowd in his zeal to treat them with his “Don’t be late” hit track after the first song he introduced lost his balance and fell off when moving swiftly around on stage to pull the over 200 participants.
He rose quickly as the lady dancer who escorted him on stage stood in front of him to save him from the embarrassing situation.
After the unfortunate stage-gone-bad situation the musician lost his vibes but continued to sing till his billed time ended.
This is not the first time an artiste has fallen offstage during VGMA.
The embarrassing situation started with Mildred Eshun known by her stage name as Eazzy, a musician who was then signed to Lynx entertainment during VGMA nominees jam in Takoradi.
She lost her balance with her heels and fell while singing “Bo wo nsamu ma me”
In a media interview she said that was the most embarrassing moment of her life as she was trolled on social media.
The 21st awards night also saw more than 10 musicians and sound engineer receiving awards for their hardwork in the year 2019.
Musicians including Celestine Donkor, MOG Music, Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata among others won from a very competitive category including, song writer of the year, best female and male vocalist of the year and Best International collaboration of the year.
The organisers of the awards show promised that tonight, which is the day two of the awards night would be bigger, better and more enjoyable as they would reveal the artiste of the year, the breakthrough art of the year, most popular song of the year among others.
